Suranne Jones

Sarah Anne Jones, better popularly known as Suranne Jones, is an actor and producer of England. She has garnered fame for acting as Ruth Slater in the miniseries "Unforgiven," as Detective Rachel Bailey in the police procedural drama 'Scott & Bailey", and the role of GP Gemma Foster in the medical drama "Doctor Foster". Jones is a Greater Manchester native who joined Oldham Theatre Workshop to receive her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. As a part of a stage production called Wait Until Dark, she was Gloria aged eight. The first time she appeared on screen in 1997 playing a character in an episode on "Coronation Street". In 2000, she returned to portray Karen McDonald. Following her departure from the soap operas, she played a range of characters in television shows such as 'Vincent" The 'Strictly Confidential" as well as Harley Street.
